We invite you to a very special cinema screening, where we will watch the classic American musical comedy Stormy Weather together. The film premiered in 1943 and is a true celebration of African-American music and dance.

Stormy Weather follows the story of singer Selah “Lola” Norman, who dreams of a star career and happiness in love. The film is full of exceptional musical numbers, impressive dance performances, and comical scenes performed by the greatest African-American artists of the time.

Vabljeni na pogovorni večer o slow balboi – plesnem stilu, ki izhaja iz balboe in se osredotoča na počasnejšo glasbo, natančno vodenje in sledenje ter jasno povezavo v paru.
Na večeru bomo:
- pogledali kaj je slow balboa in kako se razlikuje od drugih oblik balboe,
- govorili o zgodovinskem razvoju,
- pogledali nekaj starih posnetkov.
Dogodek je namenjen vsem, ki plešete balboo ali vas ta zanima – ne glede na plesno raven. Pogovor bo sproščen in odprt, z možnostjo vprašanj in izmenjave mnenj.

You are invited to a discussion evening about slow balboa – a dance style that comes from balboa and focuses on slower music, precise leading and following, and clear partner connection.
During the evening, we will talk about:
- we will look at what slow balboa is and how it differs from other forms of balboa,
- talk about its historical development,
- and watch some old video clips.
The event is intended for everyone who dances balboa or is interested in it, regardless of dance level. The discussion will be relaxed and open, with time for questions and exchange of ideas.
